I love your beauty shot; your meringue is so pretty pink. I am a big fan of Rose's sour cream butter cakes myself. I've never tried the chestnut cake, but now you've got me intrigued!

Hi Kim! Yes, I have that oven mittens from Ikea! My favorite and it's all torn now...but I'm still using them. They don't carry new ones anymore! Do they still over there? ya, i like more cake.. this cake seems too little.

Love the beauty shot. Adding the orange oil seems to be a nice touch too. At least your cranberries looked redder than mine. Kind of disappointed on this cake.

Sure is gorgeous. You got the meringue a really nice pink. It's funny how cranberries are so ingrained for cold weather eating. The one thing that seems truly seasonal.
