I love your beauty shot; your meringue is so pretty pink. I am a big fan of Rose's sour cream butter cakes myself. I've never tried the chestnut cake, but now you've got me intrigued!

OMG it looks so good, and I love the color of your meringue. As always, I enjoy your tutorial

What a little beauty! One eats with their eyes first, right? Your meringue is gorgeous set against the cake. Maybe I'll make it, after all.

Hi Kim! Yes, I have that oven mittens from Ikea! My favorite and it's all torn now...but I'm still using them. They don't carry new ones anymore! Do they still over there? ya, i like more cake.. this cake seems too little.

Love the beauty shot. Adding the orange oil seems to be a nice touch too. At least your cranberries looked redder than mine. Kind of disappointed on this cake.

I know what you mean, but next time I think I'll try the rhubarb and strawberry version. I bet it will be delicious

Your meringue and cake looks gorgeous together! Love that shot! Wow, and your cranberries look very vivid red! So pretty!

I have the raspberries to thank for the redness, not the cranberries. Yours looks better than mine, I think, but thanks for the compliment.

Sure is gorgeous. You got the meringue a really nice pink. It's funny how cranberries are so ingrained for cold weather eating. The one thing that seems truly seasonal.

I would agree. Like eating peaches in the middle of winter. Thanks for your comment.
